Dice Adventure has ended….

I posted about this some time back, and now the Tales of the World: Dice Adventure service has officially ended. 🙁 I’m a sad panda now.

I didn’t manage to collect all the available characters via Infinite Colosseum event (in most part because I couldn’t afford time spent distracted on playing this, although it had stress relief purposes), but I did take a batch of screenshots of my favorite characters that I collected.

Think I should share them next time?

No more Tales Dice Adventure

Service end for Tales of the World: Dice Adventure

I’m a sad panda now. 🙁 I never really explored all of its content (I didn’t do Colosseum or PVP at all) but I did set my parties to do quests on a pretty regular basis for a while back (because my work got too busy).

Ah well, the end date is on 28th June 2013 midnight, Japan time, so I can still play this for around 2 months or so.

Just so sad to see another game I play end service.

Tales of the World: Dice Adventure

I’m hopelessly addicted to this game right now, haha. Decided to try it because the pre-order bonus in my copy of Tales of Xillia 2 gives a SR rank Ludger for this game. Considering so many of the Tales social games are unavailable to me, of course I leaped at the chance to play this one.

Tales of the World: Dice Adventure is a web-based social game that’s kinda like monopoly and kinda like snakes & ladders, where you get to collect characters from the many Tales series to form parties and do quests and stuff.

It’s sadly only in Japanese. Luckily my basics are still pretty alright.

The best part about it is:

  1. Collecting Tales characters. <3
  2. You can join or start a quest room and leave it there to auto play for you if you don’t have the time to sit there and toss the dice. No auto using of recovery items though, sadly.
  3. I can play on my smartphone just by accessing the website on it. It has a web interface that is simpler and faster than the desktop’s flash one. But you can’t look at the cute characters doing their short chat skits and battles.
  4. I can start a Quest, then go and do Dice Tower while the quest is in progress. Yay for multi-tasking!

PS. Because TotW: Dice Adventure is linked to the Banafes! Town (my character/avatar is the Banafest! Town avatar), I also started playing that. *facepalms*

Just finished a Tales of Vesperia (PS3) session with the sisters, and we were pushing on inside the Telescopic Graveyard. ToV has some of the brightest and darkest battlefields, leading to a lot of “where the hell am I” moments.

Rita’s Fireball is serious overpowered when it’s maxed, considering it has 12 hits and the lowest TP cost of all the spells. I’m already going on a ‘when in doubt, Fireball’ logic in battle. Though her other spells are really nice too. Like the Stone Blast + Ivy Rush combination. And Meteor Storm. Never forget Meteor Storm. <3
