FFBE: War of the Visions (JP) upgrade systems quick reference

*Update on 1 Aug 2020:
I have actually stopped playing FFBE: WOTV a while back, before the Global version was released. I do not intend to edit the guide for the Global version nor update it to include newer things, but I think I’ll at least get the images up fully within the next few weeks.

This post is a quick reference mostly for myself because I struggle to remember where to get the different types of materials.

Names of the materials are kinda directly translated, I don’t know what their actual English names are or what other guides/wikis are using.

If you’re looking for an English guide, there’s this one:

*deep breath* Alright, here goes.

Neko Atsume update 1.7.0

New cats have been released, so I’m popping in to check on the kitties again. After the sweet confectionery theme, it’s cooling summer time!  And it’s featuring some really cute new goodies, check out that penguin cushion! And that dinosaur slide! Can’t wait to see what the cats do with them. :3

Neko Atsume now in English!

All you have to do is just by update your game (if you have already installed it) to the latest version and changing to English language in the Setting! Everything has been translated to English, including the cats’ names (unless you have customized them like I have).

The latest version update also added some new stuff, such as new Cowboy Western style items and a Western Style backyard that you can see in this screenshot.

Yes, the fat cat ate all the Frisky Bitz, smh.

There’s also new cats added in this version and some special cats have new interaction. (hint, there’s a train so…) I myself have only since one new special cat so far, and its favorite toy is the Cowboy Hat.

All in all it’s a super awesome update! I wonder what they are going to add for Christmas, or for New Year.

Cream-san and Cafe-san, finally!!

Yesterday, while I was on my way to STGCC 2015, I checked my Neko Atsume game as usual to see if my latest setup could finally lure out the elusive Cafe-san. To my surprise, both Cream-san and Cafe-san showed up! Together! The last two cats I’m missing!

Cream-san at least has been leaving fishies for me occasionally after the first and only sighting, during which I totally forgot to take a photo, but Cafe-san had never showed up before! To say that I was very happy is a huge understatement!

The one thing I decided to try in order to get Cafe-san to appear was to remove other items that will attract other rare cats. Lo and behold, Cafe-san appeared right off. 😀 But now I’m wondering if this is a widely known tip that I have somehow missed… ._.

Now I’m looking forward to the Ver 1.4.0 update that’s coming later this month with Autumn items! 🙂 Maybe there will be more cats?

Playing: Rabi Tobi (ラビとび)

*Update on 22 March 2019 :
Rabi Tobi game service ended on 29 September 2016. :<
But, I found a new link to the Rabi Tobi Collections mini-game!! Jump to the bottom of this post to check it out!

Lately, while I’m still trying to get Cream-san and Cafe-san in Neko Atsume, I’ve also been trying out a few other games. The newest and cutest of them all is this very new mobile game called  “Rabi Tobi (ラビとび)” or “Jumping Rabbit” that was just released on 4th September, and I really want to write about and share this game with everyone.

I first spotted the game made by Japanese developer Cygames, Inc. on QooApp blog about its Pre-Register bonus. One look at the images showing the beautiful storybook style ingame art and how it’s played, and it had all of my interest (you know, other than the fact that cute animals are one of my biggest weakness).

Look how cute the art and that rabbit is!!

And here’s the promotion movie!

Interested? Allow me to give you a brief introduction~

Basically in this game, us players help to control this adorable rabbit called “つきたて” (Tsukitate) to hop islands. How? We pull on the tail (yes, the TAIL!), carefully take aim so that Tsukitate can make it safely to the next island, and let go of the tail to send our furry friend hopping. That’s all there is to the basic controls!

Now on to how the game works. Rabi Tobi has different Areas and each Area has many Stages with increasingly difficult puzzles. One Carrot is used for challenging a stage and a Carrot is recharged each 30 minutes, or players can use the In-App Purchase currency “Rubies” to recharge.

The objective of each Stage is to help Tsukitate reach the other shore. If Tsukitate falls into the water, one Heart is used for player to retry from the last island location. Each stage has 3 Hearts before player has failed the Stage and will have to challenge it again (or use Rubies to continue).

If player gets a Star for clearing the Stage for the first time, a Star for within a certain time limit, and a Star for not dropping into water. The Stars are for unlocking Stages.

To spice things up, there are islands and objects with different properties, and items that give Tsukitate different temporary powers and adorable appearance transformations! I’m really looking forward to see what kind of puzzles awaits me in the future stages. 😀

The best part?

The game is Free to Play and available on both iOS App Store and Google Play for Android! I couldn’t install from Google Play though as it’s probably region-locked or something, so I downloaded it from QooApp instead. It does have the occasional banner ads, and of course, In-App Purchase.

Official Game Website: http://rabitobi.jp/
Compatible device models: http://rabitobi.jp/environment/

Bonus!!

There’s a really cute web-brower mini-game on the Official Website called ラビとびコレクション (Rabi Tobi Collections) (link updated 22 March 2019) where we can poke and prod at Tsukitate to collect snapshots of it doing really cute things, like rubbing its tummy or doing a dizzying spin.

Collect all the snapshots to unlock exclusive wallpaper! The energy bar refills by one every 2 minute though so it may take a little more patience and effort. The best part for me is finding out that Tsukitate in the actual game has some of these responses when being poked at. :3

And~ that’s it~! I hope everyone will enjoy and love this game as much as I do!

More Neko Atsume goodness!

It seems there are more than a few of my Facebook friends are Neko Atsume fans, and they shared some awesome Neko Atsume news with me~!

Miss Kiri’s Neko Atsume posts

When I was searching for the installation and play guides previously, I came across Miss Kiri’s guide (it’s in Traditional Chinese) and was impressed by the interesting way the information was presented and the animated gifs showcasing the cats. Although ultimately I chose another guide, I never forgot Miss Kiri’s post.

How can I forget when there’s a cute cat like this?!

Some days ago, I chanced upon her site again, and decided to share her posts to English fans. She included a lot a lot of screenshots and images so it’s actually pretty easy to make sense of.

Neko Atsume’s official twitter sneaks about 1.3.0 update

Just discovered Neko Atsume’s twitter page and found a piece of good news!

“Summer goods incoming! Neko Atsume Ver1.3.0 scheduled for mid-June!”

Yay!!! More cats and toys incoming!!

yuyoyuyo-san’s fan-made Neko Atsume dolls

Spotted a Chinese article “貓咪收集App萌爆羊毛氈公仔登場!” featuring hand-made dolls of the cats from Neko Atsume! So I did a little digging and found the source of these adorable little wool felt dolls:

Now my hands itch to make my own little cats…. *must resist*

Neko Atsume 1.2.0 update, alternate backyards!

Some time ago, just when I was starting to run out of toys to buy in this game, I spotted posts in a Facebook group showing new stuff in Neko Atsume (ねこあつめ), and yep, there’s a new update! *pops confetti*

The new feature in this update is called “Makeover” but I like to call it alternate backyards. It can be accessed using the new icon at the bottom left corner, and you can buy new backyard designs with golden fishes. There’s a 50% discount coupon for the first backyard purchase!

Playing: Neko Atsume

Just started playing this relaxing little Japanese Android game called “Neko Atsume (ねこあつめ)”, where you play as a cat lover who can’t have a kitty of your own, so you set out food and toys to attract the neighborhood cats to come in and play.

Look at that adorable little idiot who stuffed itself into the cake box! xD

If you’re interested in the game, there is an English guide for it, 繁体中文的下载教学 和 游戏教学.

*Update* It seems to be available for most regions on the Google Play store now! 🙂
