Source: Riot Games Partners with Garena to bring League of Legends to Southeast Asia

I heard the news some time after it came out, and it was a surprise to me. Garena was not on my guess list, but on hindsight, it makes a lot of sense of it to be approached by Riot Games.

While I’m not familiar with Garena and its track record, I do think it is a good thing that it is not one of the publishers in my guess list. You can probably tell I don’t have a good opinion of them by now.

In any case, it is a good thing that we now know the identity of that mysterious unknown SEA publisher. I know I won’t be playing, but I’ll be keeping my eyes and ears opened for when the game actually becomes available to SEA players again.

The Garena website looks somewhat different from when I last saw it, with a lot of Error 404 instead of the information I’m looking for. There is a Garena League of Legends facebook page though, so it’s probably good to take a look at its. Oh, and GX Blog has the full press release for the interested.

There are some discussions over at the League of Legends (as always). I found images of some official posters by Garena in this one topic that are pretty cool looking. Kinda reminds me of that time in the past when we started checking out League of Legends.
